Kyokuyo Shipyard Corporation has revised its work schedules to shorten annual working hours by 4 days, from current 1,992 hours (or 249 days) to 1,960 hours (245 days).
The change, effective on April 1, 2017, will increase holidays per year to 120, the number almost aligned with that of major and mid-sized shipyards.
The aim is double : first, the company likes to encourage its employees to live a fulfilling life by leaving more time for family and social activities ; and second, it wants to remain competitive to secure good talent. Also, new schedule will include "Day of the Mountain", a newly created public holiday.
Kyokuyo is committed to keep improving the working environment and serving the customers through quality products ! [2016/11/24]
