MAIN FACTORY

Kyokuyo Shipyard's factory is the best size for its products. The layout of the facility is highly efficient, with no restrictions due to the topography or shape of the site. Together with our pioneering efforts in labor-saving and modernization, we are able to improve quality and speed up construction.

Its location adjacent to the Kanmon Straits, a key shipping route, allows your ships to be chartered in and out with no time loss.

NEW BUILDING DOCK

We have one newbuilding dock of 155m x 23.4m, to meet a wide range of needs as a shipbuilder of medium and small size vessels. The extra length is advantegeous for building container carriers and other high-speed ships.

BLOCK ASSEMBLY PLANT

ブロック組立工場 — All-weather Block Assembly Plant

The weather has the greatest impact on work efficiency. That is why we have an all-weather block assembly plant. We are able to manufacture high-quality blocks regardless of any weather conditions.

This plant boasts high ceilings at 28 meters below the crane level, allowing us to move blocks in mid-air and to freely invert 60-ton blocks. It also demonstrates its capabilities in advance outfitting.

An all-weather blasting plant is located next door, ensuring high precision control of product and coating quality and processes regardless of the season or climate.

REPAIR DOCK

One 125m x 21.4m repair dock is available for docking surveys and other inspections, marine casualties and conversion works.

SUPERINTENDENT OFFICE

We have located our supervisor's office at the most convenient point, close to the job site. The office is also adjacent to ours, making it easy to meet with our staff. The office is equipped with a network environment, as well as a fax and copy machine for the use of the supervisor's office to support the efficiency of the extremely busy work schedule.

"BLUE STAR" DORMITORY

BLUE STAR Dormitory is a dormitory for single employees under the age of 30 who have moved to Shimonoseki or whose homes are too far away to commute daily. This building is located about 2.5km from the company and is equipped with modern facilities such as IH cooking heaters to support the lives of young employees.
