Introduction of Kyokuyo's versatile cargo vessels, designed to match your cargoes and trading patterns.
Since the 1980s, Kyokuyo has built many container ships for operators around the world. Through this invaluable experience, we have accumulated a wealth of ideas and technologies, one of which is our design stance of considering cargoes as modules and thoroughly thinking through their arrangement and handling onboard. This led to a series of orders from Europe-based owners for multi-purpose cargo vessels in the 2000s.
In these MPCs, we paired box-shaped holds with wide and highly functional hatch covers while purposefully varying the number and length of holds to suit the voyage patterns of each owner. This way, we could optimize the capacity of a wide range of cargoes, including containers, bulk, steel products and coils, heavy and project cargoes, to precisely meet each customer's needs.
This clean and smart design approach, together with the adoption of anti-healing systems, CPP, automation devices, and medium-speed main engines, was highly evaluated by the customers.
Currently, due to changing market needs, we are not actively seeking orders for cargo vessels, but the confidence and know-how gained through direct negotiations with the technical teams of European shipping companies are valuable assets to Kyokuyo, and are utilized in the development and proposal of new designs.
That being said, if you have a challenging cargo ship project, whether it is for LOLO or RORO, we will be happy to respond. We look forward to hearing from you!
