Happy New Year, everyone! I would like to offer a few words of greeting for the New Year.
Time waits for no one and here is coming the end of year 2002. How has the year been for you? Whether it has been good, or bad, Kyokuyo Shipyard will be closed from December 29, 2002 to January 5, 2003 for the new year. Please see the calendar below for details.
On November 12, a clear autumn day, the naming and launching ceremony for our cement carrier S-443 (do you remember her?) took place at our shipyard.
As of October 1, 2002, an organizational change of our Constructions Division was announced. This first structural reform officially revealed by our new management marks our first step to shift from the conservative organization to a modern, more efficiency-oriented one.

On June 26, we completed the construction of a 834TEU type container carrier, S440, ordered by SITC Maritime (Group) Co., Ltd. of Qingdao, China.
Our first LPG carrier since 12 years has been just completed.
"PETRO COMBO" will have a sister!
