Kyokuyo's annual cherry-blossom-admiring party, or HANAMI party, was held on April 10 this year.
This issue features the untimely report of Kyokuyo's yearly cherry-blossom-viewing a.k.a. "hanami" party, which was held on Saturday March 28 this year. The organizing team, consisting of '08 rookie employees, did good job analyzing weather reports, advertising the event, and getting what was necessary.
To old residents, name of "Shimonoseki Stadium" sounds specially nostalgic. Long time ago, when whaling business was permitted and active, Shimonoseki had thrived on fishery.

Hello again! I'm Miho Miyaji, secretary of Team Kyokuyo, the softball team we introduced to you in our news073. Today, I am very happy to report you that our team is now proven actually strong, as it won a City Softball Tournament of October 28, 2007, organized by the Shimonoseki Softball Association.
Hello folks, we are a group of (mostly) young sportsmen and a sportswoman working at Kyokuyo. All of us firmly share the same passion for shipbuilding and ... softball! Our squad, called "Team Kyokuyo", is powerful enough to be recognized as one of leading units in the city.
