As provided by law, Coming of Age Day is a legal public holiday in Japan on the 2nd Monday in January. In 2013, it falls on the 14th day.
As you may remember, Kyokuyo Shipyard Corporation celebrates its employees who have just reached the age of 20, on the occasion of "Seijin-no-Hi", Japanese coming-of-age day. Since the national holiday falls on January 9, we held a small gift-presenting ceremony on January 5 this year.
Our third news for 2011 is about Japan's "coming-of-age day", a national holiday we have on the second Monday in January every year. And every year, Kyokuyo celebrates its young employees who reach the age of 20 by offering small gift.
If you are a loyal reader of this site, you probably know the second Monday of January is Japanese coming-of-age day and we present a gift to the young employees of 20 years old on this occasion.
As explained in the news079, Kyokuyo Shipyard presents a gift every year to the employees who have just reached 20 years of age, on the occasion of "Seijin-no-Hi", Japanese coming-of-age day. Being celebrated on the second Monday of January, this national holiday fell on January 12 this year. We held our ceremony on 9th, the working day immediately before Seijin-no-Hi.
"Seijin no hi" (Day of Adults, literally) is the Japanese coming-of-age day, held on the second Monday in January. To celebrate its employees who reaches the age of 20, Kyokuyo Shipyard presents them a gift on that day every year.
