Kyokuyo's long-awaited new office building has now been completed after 9 months of construction works. With the delivery done on July 10, our business operation in the new building started on Tuesday July 17, 2012.

As reported earlier, the main reason for this replacement was to bring a new level of safety to our employees and staffs. The previous building was built more than 40 years ago and more vulnerable to natural disasters including high-tide, flood, tsunami and earthquake.

The new 4-storied steel framed building is painted in light grey and marine blue, the company's color. It has a clean and logical design without frill or eye-candy, giving us a new level of functionality, too.

On the double-height 1st (or the ground) floor, which ensures invulnerability to storm surge attack, there are a guard station and car parking space for visitors. The 2nd floor is dedicated to the Manufacturing and Quality Assurance teams ; with locker rooms for 50 blue-collar workers, it will act as headquarters for the entire manufacturing sector of the company. The offices for New Building Business, Repairing Business and Material Purchasing teams are relocated on the 3rd floor, and the General Affairs division was moved to 4th floor where reception rooms are also located. On the 3rd and 4th floors, additional spaces for meeting, training and conference are conveniently provided. Remember that our Design team keeps using the 3rd floor of superintendents' building.

Now, as you guess, we have a good fresh feeling in new environment. Please do not hesitate to take a look!
