NEWS 077 : WE ARE STRONG! (NOW PROVEN)
Hello again! I'm Miho Miyaji, secretary of Team Kyokuyo, the softball team we introduced to you in our news073. Today, I am very happy to report you that our team is now proven actually strong, as it won a City Softball Tournament of October 28, 2007, organized by the Shimonoseki Softball Association.
You like to learn more about the victory, don't you? Here we are!

I would like to emphasize that this result is not fluky. In fact, the team was the runners-up for "Matsubara Cup" tournament held recently. Not enough ? Okay, for those who are still skeptical, let me give you some figures. In 2007, we won 25 games out of 35, with 1 draw. Our career average was .363 and overall on-base percentage was .469. and we hit 11 home runs (most of them were inside-the-park homers, though) this year. Doesn't it sound terrific? Let me add that those figures are recorded by me, who am a fairly strict official scorer.
In my opinion, we now have in our team best players in our history : a batter with his career average more than .500 ; 4 fast runners who can cover 50m in less than 6 seconds, and lots of lefties. We will carry on working hard to get as many pennants as possible in the coming year, in addition to the one currently is displayed in our office. We appreciate your support!
