NEWS 160 : WORKSHOP AT WORKSHOP
On November 27, 2012, a unique workshop was held at Kyokuyo Shipyard by Japan Coastal Shipping Association (JCSA), which comprises Japan's 26 major coastal ship operators.
To seek the way to improve the business structure, JCSA organizes the workshop annually, where participates young employees who will shape the future of his/her company - and the industry. This year, a total of 26 participants (i.e. one from each member) visited Kyokuyo and other marine facilities in Shimonoseki / Kitakyushu Area.
The workshop started at 13:30, in our new conference room, with the speech of Kyokuyo's president, Katsuhiko Ochi, who jokingly asked the attendance to come back with an order someday in future, after fully discovering the builder's advantages. Then H. Yoshida, T. Mitsui and N. Fukushima made an introductory presentation of the company one after another. Mitsui and Fukushima put an emphasis on the award-winning m.v. City of St. Petersburg(S-493) and the technical challenges of creating this innovative car carrier.
After an active questions-and-answers session, the young business persons made a tour of the shipyard to see our factory in action.
We, on behalf of the company thank JSCA to choose Kyokuyo as a place for workshop. We are also thankful for all the positive comments on the program and our technical abilities - which we received a fews days later from the participants!
