Kyokuyo's first happy event for 2015 was the naming and delivery ceremonies for a 1,103TEU container carrier code-named S-517. She is the eldest of 2-ship series ordered by Taiwan-based TVL Shipping Co., Limited.

Being the first major ceremonies between TVL and Kyokuyo, they were actually big ones, with 35 international guests including Mr. and Mrs. Lee Chien-Fa, Chairman of the owner and gentlemen from Korean operator.

After signing and exchanging the papers, the guests were invited onboard the new ship, where were flying the flags of Taiwan, Korea and Japan. It was where the Chairman's wife, Mrs. Yu Shu-Chuan named the vessel "Sunny Calla" and cut the guy rope as the sponsor. The ship's birth and her delivery to the owner were then celebrated with confetti, music, and hearty applause from all participants.

When a quick tour inside Sunny Calla was over, the guests were led to Shimonoseki Grand Hotel offering a magnificent view over Kanmon Channel. During the luncheon reception, Sunny Calla, which had just started her own journey, appeared in the view and ignited applause and cheers!
