Kyokuyo has received our first-ever order from Osaka-based Sengoku Co., Ltd. for special survey of their sea sand mining system consisting of a pusher "Hoei Maru" (dimensions : 31.00m x 11.00m x 6.20m) and a barge "Hoei" (dimensions : 83.85m x 20.00 x 5.65m).

The company president Mr. Sengoku visited our yard to leave some motivating words : "The repair shipyard is the doctor for a ship. So please prepare a complete medical chart so that you can look after your patient." Kyokuyo's experienced staffs both in hull and machinery sections will try the best, as its home doctor team, to take care of the system as long as we can.

Kyokuyo is known for its outstanding design capability for newbuilding. In ship repairing business too, our greatest 'selling point' is that we can use of this capability for variety of difficult projects, like life-extension or other complicated modification works or unexpected repair after an accident.

Taking this opportunity, we want to let you know that, as of April 1, Soichiro Fujimura was appointed new General Manager of Repair Business Division to replace Kenichi Mori, who has become advisor to the company. While Mr. Wakamatsu, 'experienced man', and Ms. Miyaji, 'shadow commander' keep supporting the whole repair team, we are looking for a right person to fill gaps left by Jun Ikeda, who is transferred to New Building Business Division as Manager.
