In the news 225, we introduced to you our 7 newcomers who joined us in April. The 2 high school graduates, Taro and Yoshihiro, recently came back from Oita, where they spent lonely (?) 3 months, far away from their home town, to attend the professional training program offered by Oita Regional Shipbuilding Craftsmanship Center.

The 3rd Family Plant Tour Event
Kyokuyo's 3rd "Family Plant Tour" was held on Sunday, November 13, 2016. This time we opened the door for not only our employees but also families of subcontracting companies' staffs as well as students who will join Kyokuyo next April. As result, we had 52 participants, including parents, children, brothers, sisters, grandpas and grandmas! It's quite a big event!

Yeah, another year has passed. It's October again, so we hosted Kyokuyo Open Golf Tournament to renew our gratitude to our valuable suppliers, sub-contractors, outsourcees and other guests. A total of 110 players, in 29 groups, participated in the 56th Kyokuyo Open, held on October 7, 2016, at Shimonoseki Golf Club.

2nd Plant Tour Event for Employees' Family
Do you remember m.v. "Miri & Haruki" and her "mock" ceremonies which not all the applicants were allowed to participate because they were too many? As pre-noticed, the 2nd "Family Plant Tour" event was organized on Sunday December 6, 2015. Since the previous event was a big success, we had 43 participants from 12 families this time.

Since more than 5 decades, Kyokuyo Shipyard annually hosts "Kyokuyo Open" golf tournament on an autumn day, where we thankfully invite some of our stakeholders, including suppliers, subcontractors and service providers, among others. The 54th edition of Kyokuyo Open was held on October 10, the company's founding anniversary. No less than 122 players (in 31 groups) enjoyed a day of golf at prestigious Shimonoseki Golf Club.

Time flies like a golf ball and it's autumn again. Yes, in this issue we cover the 53rd "Kyokuyo Open" - a golf tournament we hold every year to express our thanks to the company's stake holders. This year, a total of 120 players, from suppliers, subcontractors, various service providers, gathered at the prestigious Shimonoseki Golf Club, to play the game in 31 groups.
