As mentioned in the previous news reporting Natori, a container carrier built last year by Kyokuyo Shipyard Corporation, won the "Award for Development of Technology that Reduces the Environmental Impact for Logistic Operations", the same ship has now been awarded the "Best Small Cargo Ship" in the 2015 Japanese Ship of the Year event hosted by the Japan Society of Naval Architects and Ocean Engineers (JASNAOE), and the award ceremony was held on July 7, 2016.
Imoto Lines, Ltd., as owner of the container ship "Natori", won the "Award for Development of Technology that Reduces the Environmental Impact for Logistic Operations" at the 17th Logistics Environment Awards, organized by Japan Association for Logistics and Transport (JALoT).
Kyokuyo's last ship for 2015 was a 540TEU container carrier "Natori" (S-522, 7,390grt x 136m overall length), which the company had built based on an order placed in December 2013 by Imoto Lines, Ltd., of Kobe, a pioneer of coastal feeder service in Japan.
2 weeks after the "mock" ceremonies, the real naming and delivery ceremonies for the 1,103TEU container carrier took place on March 27, 2014. The ship, or S518 as we called her, was the youngest of 2 ship-series ordered by TVL Marine (HK) Co., Limited.
Kyokuyo's first happy event for 2015 was the naming and delivery ceremonies for a 1,103TEU container carrier code-named S-517. She is the eldest of 2-ship series ordered by Taiwan-based TVL Shipping Co., Limited.
October 15, 2014 was the day when Kyokuyo delivered S513 to the owner, KSC Shipping S.A.. Just like her elder sister S516, or Heung-A Young, she is a latest example of the builder's 1,103-TEU 'Japanmax' container carrier model and employed by Heung-A Shipping Co., Ltd. of South Korea.
On July 31, 2014, we held the naming and delivery ceremonies for S516, ordered by R&M.HG.WAVE.INC.. The ship is Kyokuyo's latest 'Japanmax' container feeder which has an impressive loading capacity of 1,103TEU with GRT being less than 10,000tons.
The keel-laying ceremony for a 1,103TEU container carrier took place on July 3, 2014. Code-named S517, she is the eldest of 2-sister series ordered by Taiwan-based TVL Shipping Company Limited.
As reported by newspapers, Kyokuyo Shipyard Corporation received, on December 27, 2013, an order for a 540TEU container carrier from Kobe-based Imoto Lines, Ltd.
On November 20, 2012, we had the naming and delivery ceremonies for S506 container carrier. She and her elder sister S505 are the first ships we have built for SITC since 3.5 years and the 12th and 13th ships since 2000. We would like to heartily thank our longstanding client for their continuous support!
On March 8, 2011, container carrier S-498 was launched as scheduled. S-498 can carry as much as 1,022 units of 20 feet standard containers - the biggest number ever for a ship built by Kyokuyo Shipyard Corporation. She will be delivered in the month of June, after outfitting process.
Our last big event of 2008 was the naming and delivery ceremonies held on December 11 for S-481, 845TEU geared container carrier.
You probably know that we received an order for 4 sister container carriers of 847 TEU and have already delivered 3 ships, named SINOTRANS BEIJING, SINOTRANS SHENZHEN and SINOTRANS NINGBO respectively.
On May 30, 2008 took place, at our shipyard, the naming and delivery ceremonies for a 847TEU container carrier S-478, 3rd of 4 sister ships ordered by China's SINOTRANS group.
On February 1st, an 847 TEU type container carrier, code-named S475, was delivered to her Hong Kong based owner, Trade Integrity Shipping Limited. She is the eldest of the series of 4 vessels.
July 13, 2006 was the day of the naming and delivery ceremony for S465, 8th vessel among the series of container carriers ordered by our close and important client, SITC Maritime (Group) Co., Ltd. of Qingdao, China.
