Here, you can view all of Kyokuyo's life logs documented over the past 20 years. This is who we are.
On March 29, 2011, 2,000unit type pure car carrier S495 was named and delivered. She is the second and the last of 2-ship series of Kyokuyo's self-developed eco-friendly ship with a semi-spherically shaped bow (SSS-bow) that reduces the wind resistance. Featured in TV and newspapers, the sisters are perhaps the most famous of the vessels we have ever built.
On September 29, 2010 was born another 7,200m3 LPG Carrier. The weather was still hot but breezy and reasonably comfortable, compared to this summer's violent heat from which we still suffered one month ago, when we delivered her sister "SIVA CORAL".
September 11, 2010 is the day when everyone at Kyokuyo delightfully witnessed launching of the most original and sexiest newbuilding ship in its 68 years of history: S-493, "eco-friendly" car carrier with a futuristic "SSS bow", or Semi-Spherical Shaped bow, which we featured in News112.
On August 26, 2010, we delivered a 7,200m2 type LPG Carrier code-named S496. She is the first liquefied gas carrier we have built since 2002.
Our last big event of 2008 was the naming and delivery ceremonies held on December 11 for S-481, 845TEU geared container carrier.
On September 25, Kyokuyo delivered a 180,000cft refrigerated cargo carrier, S-461. The vessel, with fish processing equipments installed onboard, is the latest and also a milestone product in our continuing line of ultra-low temperature reefer technologies.
On June 18, the naming and delivery ceremony was held for a 180,000cft type reefer vessel, aka "TUNA QUEEN", latest fruit of our state-of-the-art ultra low temperature technologies.
A brand new contract was signed between Kyokuyo and Kasuga Kaiun K.K..
We started the year 2003 with a busy month, giving birth to 2 new building ships only at 2 days interval!
On November 12, a clear autumn day, the naming and launching ceremony for our cement carrier S-443 (do you remember her?) took place at our shipyard.
On September 10, the keel laying for S-443, a cement carrier ordered by messrs. Seiho Kaiun Co., Ltd., took place at our all-weather block assembly factory.
Our first LPG carrier since 12 years has been just completed.
We are very happy to report you that we have received an order for a 7,000tdw cement carrier.
