NEWS 010 : LPG SHIP TAMARA DELIVERED!
Our first LPG carrier since 12 years has been just completed.
The delivery ceremony was held on May 28 at our shipyard, where met many guests, including Mr. Suzuki, representing the owning company, Golden Shield Lines, S.A., Mr. Sasaoka, President of NRS, the ship's manager, and Mr. Matsutani, Vice President of Orix Corporation, the financier, to celebrate birth of our latest ship called TAMARA. On our part, Mr. Okamoto, Mr. Ochi - Managing Directors - and Mr. Tanaka, Manager welcomed the valuable guests.
At 10 o'clock, both the owner and the builder executed all the related papers, and voila! The vessel was delivered to our client without smallest problem.
As I mentioned, TAMARA is the first LPG carrier we have built since 1990. She has more than twice as roomy as the last one, ATOLLO BLU, that was a 3,500m3 ship for an Italian owner.
TAMARA, like ATOLLO BLU, is a pressurized-type LPG carrier, but she is endowed with latest and more specialized equipments that her smaller sister doesn't have. Nitrogen generator, big capacity cargo reheater, custom designed manifolds to meet dimensional restrictions of certain ports are some examples. Not to forget she is designed to carry chemical products like isoprene - in brief, TAMARA is a correctly equipped modern gas carrier.
After exchange of the papers and the owner's trial, we saw her off, wishing her safe voyages. TAMARA, heading south, then slowly passed out of our view.
We will try our best to keep developing good and efficient performers to meet requirements from owners and operators under ever-changing LPG ship market.
