Nearly one year has passed since we started to work in our new building. Now I feel myself sufficiently acquainted with the Kyokuyo's "mother ship" to make a sketch for you!

Let's start with the 2nd floor (= 1st floor in Europe). On this floor, which is the closest to the factories, work the staffs for Production Division, Quality Assurance Division and Safety & Health Department.

Production Division has 5 Departments and employees are working in a typical Japanese style big room, with desks of each department placed to form an 'island'.

Lockers and waiting space for blue-collar workers (up to 50 people) are provided next to the room for Production Division, to ensure smooth communications and better collaboration across the divisions - between engineers and technicians. Each chief technician has his own desk here for his desk work, too. And this shows their status!

The Quality Assurance Division's room is located at the floor's nearest end to the superintendent office building. The benefit of this arrangement is that its staffs can respond without losing time when/ if they need to attend a meeting or a test with owner's superintendents.

The photos were taken in a morning, at the time of Production Division's regular morning meeting. Look at the waiting space for blue-collar workers which is empty (left) - almost everybody looks gone to work already.
