NEWS 190 : 3RD ATTENDANCE TO JAPANESE-STYLE CEREMONY

Keel-laying Ceremony for S521 Gas Carrier

On December 8, 2014, took place the keel-laying ceremony for S521. It was the last building ceremony for this year.

The ship is a 7,200c.u.m. type L.P.G. carrier, ordered by Sahara Oil and Gas Inc.. Technically speaking, she is the 3rd sister after S514 and S515.

Mr. Meletios Michas, who was staying here until 6 months ago to supervise S514 and S515, came back to Kyokuyo to attend the ceremony as representative of the owner. Katsuhiko Ochi, the builder's president, Tetsuo Mitsui, Hiroshi Yoshida, Norihiko Harada and other staffs are apparently happy to see him again!

The ceremony was gone through very smoothly, as it was the 3rd time for the guest to take part in these very Japanese rituals in Shinto style. Mr. Michas exactly knew how to do what was expected in the perfect manner!

We will do our best to build an even better ship without having any accident.
