On October 7, Kyokuyo Shipyard held a long service award ceremony to honor its employees who had achieved 10 or 20 years of continuous service.

There were 5 eligibles this year : 1 for 20 years award and 4 for 10 years award ; or, by different grouping method, 2 from Design Devision, 1 from Production Division and 1 from General Affairs Division. Katsuhiko Ochi, the company president welcomed 4 of them to the ceremony, as one awardee was on child care leave and could not be present.

All of the winners have been working hard in their respective positions to make the difference. They now assume the crucial role as mid-level staff and guide young coworkers. I can't believe how fast time goes ! I know the time when they joined the company as fresh persons!

By the way. The award winners (and their boss) were invited to the ceremony and received a certificate of service and an award gift. To complete the celebration, the president gave a speech where he expressed the gratitude on behalf of the company. He also stressed the importance of love in the family as well as safety in the factory(!). It was actually a great, albeit short, moment, in a very happy atmosphere.

We hope they keep on going on with more and more seasons!
