Every year on Marine Day (3rd Monday in July), the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) presents awards to people who have worked hard for many years in the ship-related industries, including seafarers and those involved in shipping, shipbuilding, ports and harbors.

Ochi's award is a great honor for a 'shipbuilding man', as it recognizes his contribution to the promotion of shipbuilding business as a director of companies and business organizations for many years.

The award ceremony was held on July 13, 2021 at the Kameyama Hachiman Shrine Ritual Hall with the attendance of maritime officials and guests.

At the ceremony, after each of the five recipients received an award, our President gave a speech of thanks on behalf of the recipients.

"As a member of the maritime community, I am truly honored to receive this award today on Marine Day, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart."
"I am determined to continue my utmost to live up to this honor."

Receiving this news with pleasure and pride, Team Kyokuyo renewed its determination to work hard to build ships that will satisfy our customers.
