NEWS 299: NEW SHIP FOR GOOD HOPE
7,500m3 Liquefied Gas Carrier "BWEK BORNHOLM"
On July 29, 2022, a naming and delivery ceremony was held for m.t. "BWEK BORNHOLM" (S-563), a 7,500 cubic meter LPG carrier ordered by PROSPER SUNWAITO S.A., registered in the Marshall Islands.
BWEK BORNHOLM is our first 7,500m3-class gas carrier to meet the nitrogen oxide (NOx) Tier III regulations and to comply with the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) phase 3 requirements. She has excellent environmental performance by achieving significant reductions in CO2 and NOx emissions.
This is also our first ship ordered by a member of "Kibôhô no Kai" (= Cape of Good Hope Society), the famous shipowners' group based in Kure, Japan. We hope that our newest liquefied gas carrier will provide opportunities for even more shipowners to learn about the features and quality of our products.
