Naming & Delivery of 1,096TEU Container Ship "A ROKKO"
According to the traditional Japanese calendar, which originated in China, Risshun, or the beginning of spring, was celebrated on February 4 this year.
On February 20, when it was still chilly although it was supposed to be spring, the naming and delivery ceremony for S574, the fifth ship in the series of 1,096 TEU container carriers, was held. For Kyokuyo, this was the first ship to be delivered in 2024.

The ceremony was attended by guests from the shipowner NEW GENERAL AVIATION INTERNATIONAL PTE.LTD. and Marubeni Corporation.
The celebration began with the hoisting of the national flags, followed by the presentation of a bouquet of flowers, after which the ship was christened "A ROKKO" and the tether was cut.
The flag was then changed to that of NEW GENERAL AVIATION INTERNATIONAL PTE. LTD. and "A ROKKO" was born with a loud whistle.
