Naming and Delivery Ceremonies for Yutaka Maru No.8

Kyokuyo's last newbuilding ship in the fiscal year 2012 (which ends on March 31) was a cement carrier of 4,300tdw, code-named S-510. The naming and delivery ceremonies took place on March 29, after 'consecration' ceremony on the previous day.

On November 20, 2012, we had the naming and delivery ceremonies for S506 container carrier. She and her elder sister S505 are the first ships we have built for SITC since 3.5 years and the 12th and 13th ships since 2000. Kyokuyo Shipyard Corporation and its subsidiary Shosen Co., Ltd., are members of a local cooperative business association called "Shimonoseki Zosen Kanren Jigyo Kyodo Kumiai" (Shimonoseki Shipbuilding-related Business Association). One of its main activities since 2004 is the organization of an international trainee program.
